Hours are flexible, as most of our mentors are PhD students, full time employees, or undergraduates who mentor as a side passion. Some mentors work 1 hour a week, while other prefer working 6 hours a week. Mentors can also adjust their workload by quarters.
Due to COVID-19, most of our current study habit mentoring occurs virtually, through Zoom. If you live in the Bay Area, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor either virtually or in-person.
Nope! We have quite a bit of demand for virtual mentoring, and our greatest priority is mentor quality. If you live in a city outside of the Bay Area, you would mentor virtually.
You can expect to hear back from a Transform Tutoring Coordinator within 2-3 business days of completing the virtual tutoring interview.
Once we pair you with a student, you’ll work directly with them to align a convenient time. Most students prefer after school and evenings. It’s up to you whether you want to work on weekends or prefer weekdays.
We can set you up with students who only want mentoring once or twice a month. Our goal is to find the highest quality mentors and work with them to schedule a time accordingly.
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to chat with current mentors after you’ve received an offer.
