Transform Tutoring is a Bay Area-based organization, where tutors are selected for their academic excellence, teaching prowess, and commitment to helping youth. Transform’s tutors are a team of PhD students, medical students, alumni, and undergraduates, selected from the nation’s top universities including Stanford, Princeton, Yale, MIT, and Johns Hopkins.
We handpick the top 3% of tutors at top 10 universities, selecting only those who are particularly gifted at teaching. As of April 2020, 140 prospective tutors from top 10 universities have applied to teach at Transform, with only 5 selected.
In-depth pedagogy and mentoring are central to our approach, and our tutors form lasting relationships with students and families. We are committed to creating independent learners and confident students in each of our sessions.
You can read more about the Transform methodology at transformtutoring.org, Google Reviews, or on Transform’s informational page here.
In high school, one of the most valuable levers of growth lies in experimentation, hands-on projects, and mentorship. Interns admitted to the program will be given the opportunity to rotate between 8+ entrepreneurial foci, and choose central areas of expertise. These areas are critical to any burgeoning business -- from startups to small businesses. Interns will be mentored in each area, and will apply their learnings in hands-on, real world projects. These projects will give them tangible skills they can list on their resume, for future careers and internships.
An intern’s tasks will depend on their strengths and areas of interest. Below are some example entrepreneurial foci interns will have the opportunity to rotate and learn from.
