Transform Tutoring is seeking an Executive Writer to grow the footprint of our email suite. The Executive Writer will own the content and creation of several recurring newsletters, as well as the writing of other promotional materials for Transform. This involves writing, assigning, and curating copy. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of the college admissions process and effective study habits, as well as a passionate newsletter consumer with strong opinions about what works—and what doesn't. Responsible for the lifecycle of our newsletters, from ideation to execution to post-launch analysis.
A Subject Matter Expert. You have exceptional knowledge about the college admissions process and study habits.
An Excellent Communicator. You are highly articulate, with a firm understanding of the English language. You have a history of excellent writing and content creation.
Proactive. You are able to identify gaps in our current newsletters. You come up with compelling and effective content to fill in these gaps.
Passionate. You are genuinely passionate about social media strategies and eager to learn more through hands-on experience.
Legally authorized to work in the US
Current university student or graduate, preferably in English, Communications, or Marketing.
Deep understanding of college admissions process, and aware of tips and tricks for success within that process
Proficient in computer skills, including G-Suite tools
A passion for writing, content creation, and storytelling
Excellent communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, highly organized
Ability to manage many projects and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
Proficiency in style and grammar
A collaborative spirit and a proven ability to thrive in entrepreneurial environments
Familiarity with email service providers such as Mailchimp
Reliable, flexible and able to problem solve creatively with limited resources.
Social media savvy, including the use of analytics to increase reach and engagement
Technological capacity to provide virtual facilitation, as well as knowledge of virtual platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
Eager to learn and adapt new software as needed. This includes all social media platforms, Hootesuite, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite WIX and MailChimp or other digital marketing software.
1 – 2 years of experience working on email newsletters, preferably in an educational environment
Basic knowledge of and comfort working with HTML and other coding languages
A solid comfort level with analytics and data-based decision making
Basic knowledge of Hootesuite, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite WIX and MailChimp or other digital marketing software.
